New 8-days pocket watch - NIDOR

Thanks to the good contacts of the owner Felix Huber, ZENO-WATCH BASEL can introduce a new pocket watch with a original vintage pocket watch movement from the 1920s.

Around 1918, the company Buser & Cie in Niederdorf near Basel developed the NIDOR 8-day mechanical watch movement for the automobile industry. This could be mounted on the dashboard or at the centre of the steering wheel. Unfortunately, sales were not good and production was thus stopped...

Zeno-Watch Basel: The 1950s style is en vogue again!

Accommodating the current gentlemen’s trend, Zeno-Watch Basel is presenting its Event model with a classic silhouette and in various colors. It is reminiscent of the 1950s, when men placed considerable emphasis on proper attire, quality, and craftsmanship.

The Story of ZENO-WATCH BASEL since 1868

It all began in an idyllic house in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where Jules Godat set up
a modest workshop. Like many watchmakers in those days, he spent the cold winter months as a seasonal worker. In 1868, he set up his own business and by doing so laid the foundation for ZENO watch production as we know it today. In his workshop, he made silver pocket watches. When Jules Godat left, the workshop was expanded to manufacture railway clocks and watches. In 1900 the workshop was further enlarged and equipped with electric power to drive the machines.
