For over 100 years, Zeno-Watch Basel has evolved its excellent global reputation as a Swiss manufacturer of large-diameter watches with decidedly sporty looks. At this year's Baselworld show, the Basel-based company is again presenting sizable timekeepers that are built to cope with any sports-related challenge.

Zeno-Watch Basel has a track record in developing watches that reflect the trends of the times and with its new creations deliberately prioritizes timepieces with sports appeal. While this innovative watch manufacturer is focusing on water sports and aerial sports enthusiasts, its latest debuts – endowed with new materials – will no doubt pique the curiosity of a broader audience.

ZENO-WATCH BASEL is an independent Swiss watch manufacturing and specialized in producing mechanical timekeepers, pilot and oversized wrist watches, with headquarters in Basel, Switzerland and independent affiliates in Europe and Japan. ZENO-WATCH BASEL is not tending towards a mass- produced product, but rather to becoming an important manufacturer for watch collectors and enthusiasts of large wrist watches.

For the first time ever, Zeno-Watch Basel is launching a watch with permanent illumination that guarantees unprecedented readability in darkness. The watch emits light without requiring a battery, a charging process of any kind, or the actuation of a pushbutton. This is possible thanks to a new gaseous tritium light source system with the name Trigalight®. It never needs to be recharged and requires no servicing whatsoever. These sources are 100 times brighter than any other comparable illumination system available on the market. Trigalight® vials have a service life of more than 10 years.

The exceptionally brawny timepiece features a teflon-coated steel case with a diameter of 45 mm. The crown is a screw-down type, and a sapphire-crystal glass protects the dial of the 3-hand quartz watch. The eye-catching nylon strap is decorated with an orange-colored stripe. The strap and the rotatable bezel with red numerals are prominent features that inspire confidence in extreme situations. With an impressive diameter of 48 mm, the Pro Diver II will make waves in a big way. The diver's watch, incorporating a self-winding ETA movement or a Ronda quartz caliber, is in a category of its own.

The rugged matt steel case frames a black dial with Superluminova-coated baton markers and hands to assure crisp legibility in any situation. For safety reasons, the bezel can only be rotated clockwise. This prevents inadvertent prolongations of the intended dive time. The Pro Diver II with a helium valve is an indispensable companion for professional divers. The valve prevents the ingress of tiny helium atoms into the case and rules out an explosion of the antireflective sapphire crystal as a result of overpressure. This diver's watch persuasively combines superb functionality and advanced technology. The screw-down crown assures water resistance to 500 meters.
